Stay connected for news and updates

SAN JOSE, CA - APRIL 16: Kyle Clifford #13 of the Los Angeles Kings scores a goal and celebrates with teammates, Willie Mitchell #33, Wayne Simmonds #17, Drew Doughty #8 and Brad Richardson #15 during a game against the San Jose Sharks in Game Two of the Western Conference Quarterfinals during the 2011 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs at the HP Pavilion on April 16, 2011 in San Jose, California. Here is the CORSI and FENWICK plotted against time in game 2.  The data is heavily biased by score effects.  To get an idea of what that means I highly suggest reading articles by JLikens and others.

By half I mean I didnt count the against stats (shots, goals, misses, blocks) as that would be redundant.  Just subtract 1  line from the other to get a rough estimate of team CORSI and FENWICK.

As anyone who watched the game knows, LA pretty much dominated in this one.  They won a majority of the 50/50's in both zones. It's interesting to see how the penalties taken by the sharks in the first period really influenced their game.
