Jaffray Reassigned To IceCaps
This move suggests that Antti Miettinen will be in the lineup on Tuesday against the Islanders. Jaffray had already been placed on waivers and cleared on the 14th, which is less than 7 days ago meaning he was still eligible for reassignment without being waived again.
Jaffray had 1 point and 7 penalty minutes in 13 games with the Jets. Jaffray serves as Captain of the St. John's IceCaps.

He should be able to own the roster spot that
MacLean, McArdel and Jaffray have been sharing.
He can also be trusted with more than 4 minutes. That alone makes our team better.

i'm a moderator for GGN. I will accept tribute.
I feel for guys like Jaff who seem to never be able to break into a regular gig in the bigs. But he’s at that point and age now where he probably won’t get many more chances. If not, I hope he becomes a local hero for the St. Johns Caps.

I thought Jaffray did OK here
The underlying numbers for him looked OK. Him, Klingberg & Steam Punk were probably the best 4th line we’ve had so far.
Nothing great but for a career minor leaguer he at least held his own.
I had no problem with his on ice production.
However, I was not so fond of the fact that he was only being trusted to play 4 – 6 minutes per game against very sheltered competition.
