Around SBN: New York Giants Super Bowl XLVI Ring Unveiled

As per Bob McKenzie, Arturs Kulda is on his way to the IceCaps and Jason Jaffray would join him if he clears, thus making room for Mittens, or Antti Miettinen. Whichever you prefer.

So Klingberg did enough to warrant a longer look.

I don’t know if I like the idea of him sitting out a bunch of games though. I imagine he will be sent back down when everybody else heals up.

Thrilled Kulda cleared waivers.

that's going to piss some Hockey Wilderness people off

but i have to agree after seeing the replay, butch changes his position immediately prior to the hit, and Bogo had already started to throw the check by the point

Man that BReynolds is a whiny little kid.

I understand why Wild fans feel it should be a penalty, but its a lot less black and white then they’re making it out to be. And the “he was bleeding” argument is terrible. Its not Bogo’s fault Bouchard hit the dasher.

Scratch that, he's a clown.

Completely disrespectful to anyone with an opposing viewpoint.

Ya you're gonna be a popular fellow over there.

But seriously, the guy is an editor of their blog. SBN blogs are here for discussion and debate, but rather he wants to use snide remarks seemingly to win him favour from his Wilderness brethren. Not to mention that he blew this one incident into a league-wide crisis. “League fails to send a message, rabble, rabble, rabble.”

He's okay

He’s just emotional and cares about his team.

That I can understand.

Being condescending and dismissive towards people who hold opposing views, though, is not.

If I was a Wild fan I'd be a tad upset too.

PMB likely to miss tonight’s game, going for a CT scan and has a history of concussions. Those guys take a lot of shit for the Wild and this was probably a tipping point for them.

The thing is whether or not PMB has a history of concussions, or even the injury itself doesn't have anything to do with it.

If this was an elbow to the head at centre ice, then yes, I’d say they can use the injury as a supporting argument.

But its not Bogosian’s fault the guy he hit as a history of concussions. What’s he supposed to do, only hits guys without injury histories?

You're putting words in my mouth

I never said anything other than the facts. The hit has no bearing on any of these things. But under mitigating circumstances I’d be upset too. You might be losing one of your star players for a long time.

When “we” lost Enstrom, I was upset. Not so much at the hit in question but the fact he would be gone a long time.

Keep in mind it’s the Minnesota Wild blog, they don’t owe anything to the Winnipeg side of the story.

I would hope we're able to keep at least some sort of rational thinking here.

We are able to at least hold a discussion over the hot button issues.

That we can agree on

Yeah, sometimes we have different views on things around here (the best part of AIH is debating in the comments), but it’s not like that across SB Nation.

When Reynolds wrote their latest piece I’m sure the rational wasn’t “Gee I can’t wait to hear what Jets fans have to say”.

And when someone goes to great lengths on your blog to try to prove you wrong, then yeah that can sting too.

Hockey Wilderness is definitley well vested in their team and more of a “fan site” than Arctic Ice is, but that appeals to their fan base.

Lots of people here love to talk about Corsi, Fenwick and other things out of the realm of my understanding, but it’s just a different crowd and we all need to be mindful of that.

yeah you're totally on to something

I really hope that the emotion of a new team and some very limited success won’t turn us into a group of ’breynolds’s

I dunno if any of you remember me giving kudos to TJCAPS trying to keep us a bit sombre after beating the Bruins… but breynolds is the epitome of what I don’t want the collective Jets fanbase to devolve into.

I try to keep it even keel.

If it comes off as me slagging the Jets, then I appolgize because I try to offer both sides of it.

As for the clubhouse, I am unable to comment.
