Tonight, Tonight: Wherein We Try to Frighten Mighty Black Hawk With Our Jet Technology
Enemy Blog - Second City Hockey
It's probably not going to work; for one, because the Sauk are well aware of jets, for two because the Blackhawks have met and defeated some of the toughest teams in the NHL over the last couple of years. Our best opportunity might be from a bad game out of Corey Crawford, as the rest of the team doesn't seem to have a lot of weaknesses. UPDATE: Apparently it's going to be Ray Emery tonight. We certainly are the kind of team that can score, but our biggest challenge is to avoid the embarrassing mistakes we were making in the opener (*cough* *cough* Oduya *cough*).
Lineups and prediction after the jump...

What You Should Do if You're Going to the Game: Wear winter gloves. Don't take them off to do anything.
Prediction: Patrick Kane looks like a child that wanders into the middle of a movie (NSFW) at the centre position. Buff consumes him, then regurgitates him into Kyle Wellwood's mouth. The indigestion sidelines both, at which point the 'Hawks take advantage. 4 to 1 Blackhawks, but hey we got the last Kane standing.
Be sure to join us tonight in the game thread!

According to the papers...
MacLean and Kane have switched places. So we will see:
#9 Evander Kane — #8 Alexander Burmistrov — #80 Nik Antropov
#25 Brett MacLean — #55 Mark Scheifele — #13 Kyle Wellwood
at the start.
Fixed
It makes more sense, too.

Kane practiced with Scheifele and Wellwood again yesterday. So we’ll see at game time.

They look really good together.
They made a good tandem in the preseason and were effective in the opener.
Maybe they are getting ready to roll Kane out on a couple lines after coach made his point.
I think Ray Emery might be in net for the Blackhawks tonight
I write everywhere. You're probably better off following me on twitter
Crawford was questionable
But supposedly he was supposed to be okay by today

Emery in improved our odds slightly.
We’ll probably lose, but I want to see more disciplined and responsible play from our guys tonight.

Word
We need to stop pinching at the blue line, for starters…our D was giving up 2-on-1s all night last time.
