Jets-Canadiens Scoring Chances Game 20023/Jets Game 1

Olivier from 'En attendant les Nordiques' did the scoring for Sunday's game – details are here.

Let's look at the specifics:

Winnipeg outchanced Montreal 18-16, which is what we'd expect from a game so lopsided that Winnipeg had nothing to lose by going for the net. Normally we'd look at what happened when the game was tied, but the Habs scored on their first scoring chance. So we got nothing.

Here are the chance totals at even-strength by Jet:

5v5 5v5
# POS Player F A
4 D ZACH BOGOSIAN 4 3
5 D MARK STUART 3 2
6 D RON HAINSEY 3 2
8 C ALEXANDER BURMISTROV 4 2
9 L EVANDER KANE 3 1
13 C KYLE WELLWOOD 4 1
15 L TANNER GLASS 3 2
16 L ANDREW LADD (C) 1 5
18 R BRYAN LITTLE 1 5
19 C JIM SLATER 4 4
22 R CHRIS THORBURN 3 2
25 L BRETT MACLEAN 6 3
26 R BLAKE WHEELER 2 4
29 D JOHNNY ODUYA 5 6
33 D DUSTIN BYFUGLIEN (A) 6 7
39 D TOBIAS ENSTROM (A) 5 2
55 C MARK SCHEIFELE 4 1
80 C NIK ANTROPOV 4 3
31 G ONDREJ PAVELEC 13 11
50 G CHRIS MASON 0 0
TOTAL 13 11

Sorry for having the whole thing backwards initially. Ladd-Little-Wheeler were awful even though they didn't 100% match up against Montreal's first line. I have a feeling we're going to see a lot of games like this this season…Those games against Florida and Ottawa can't come too quickly…
