The little Norwegian with the big stick is back in the spotlight. After abusing the Swedish Elite League last year, making a splash in the Olympics, and doing an adequate job in the AHL, Mats got called up by the New York Rangers and played his first NHL game yesterday. He played mostly with Derek Stepan and Brandon Dubinsky, was a +9 on the Fenwick charts, and scored the tying goal in a shootout that would ultimately go 11 rounds.
